Solid suar top
The suar wood comes from a tree called Albizia Saman. It can reach a height of 30 to 40 meters, and its crown a circumference of 40 to 60 meters. The grass is greener under this giant than elsewhere, because its leaves provide shelter from the sun but retract when the light drops: they allow the rain to pass to the ground. This is where its nickname Rain Tree comes from. It is native to the tropics of South America and has spread to many parts of the world enjoying the same humid and hot climate. The suar also has the advantage of capturing incomparably more CO2 than other species. Its fine grain, the sinuous design of its growth lines and its beautiful gradations from blonde to brown make it the ideal wood species for a table top.
