Traditional Tibetan painting over the past centuries has spread throughout Asia. The masters of Tibetan paintings were trained in the great monasteries of Lhasa and most of them had to flee Tibet and take refuge in India. Even today, many pieces of furniture are painted in India thanks to the teachings transmitted by these Tibetan painters, thus commemorating their traditions and cultures. A true object of cultural and artisanal transmission, this piece of furniture will brighten up your home beyond measure.
Sheesham, or Indian rosewood, is a dark-hued wood marbled with black and purple. Native to northern India, this wood has a uniform texture and offers tones ranging from gold to dark brown. Extremely dense, it is the oriental equivalent of solid walnut. Very resistant, this noble material requires little maintenance and will withstand the onslaught of time. All solid wood furniture is hand made and painted by artisans from North India. Some small differences can take place and make each piece authentic and unique.
