Bronze statuette "Bodhisattva Manjusri" - unique piece

Manjursi and Avalokiteshvara are the principal bodhisattvas of Tibetan Buddhism, who are eight in number. A bodhisattva is an enlightened person, a seeker of enlightenment, who postpones his entry into nirvana in order to help everyone on the path to salvation. He therefore renounces Samsara (cycle of rebirths). It is rare to come across a statue of Manjusri in bhadrasana, the position of kindness. His clothes and his seat are very richly decorated. The cushion on which her feet rest is decorated with lotus petals. The aureole is decorated with conches and lotus petals. The inscription on the back of the seat is a prayer which has some spelling mistakes; it reads "thugs mon paru ma ra sang noisy 'dires dmi.sal na pa' i stobs na sam dpa" be this image features the wish to break the illusions of the demons of ignorance and the hope of gaining strength of the Bodhisattva.
